Max Andreasen COTA/L (pronouns they/them/theirs)
Max graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in American Sign Language from the University of Washington in 2020. Max later earned their Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Lake Washington Institute of Technology, graduating in 2023.
After experiencing the transformative benefits of Occupational Therapy as a teenager, Max was inspired to pursue a career in the field with the goal of becoming the therapist they would have benefited from as a child.
Max aims to meet children at their current level and encourage exploration of new experiences, finding the just right challenge to foster personal growth and independence. Max has experience working with neurodivergent children in a variety of settings including those with ASD, ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, mental health diagnoses, and physical disabilities. They have training and experience in neurodiversity affirming care, strengths based approaches for autism, interoception support, Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and running therapeutic tabletop roleplaying games.
In their free time, Max enjoys crocheting, playing Dungeons and Dragons, spending time with their 4 pet rats, outdoor adventures, and crushing their friends at the card game “Set”.
